First published in 1896, Daily Mail has a long and storied history – as Britain’s first populist newspaper, the first in the world to hire a female war correspondent, and many other pioneering moves. Presently, Daily Mail is the United Kingdom’s second most popular daily newspaper, and was the first to reach over 1 million copies sold in a day.

Daily Mail wanted to hone in on an extra revenue stream beyond paper and ad sales by opening an online marketplace that could compile items from multiple vendors selling products on the site – the first of its kind for a UK news brand. With our expertise in designing custom sites on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform, Daily Mail chose PFS to consult and engineer a highly customised implementation process, build and integrate merchantry back-end technology for supplier management and marketplace fulfillment capabilities.

By integrating with the MyMail loyalty program, shoppers receive amplified digital, social, and print media – creating a new, personalised discovery journey. By gathering customer data, MailShop is able to identify with readers and know the products they want to buy, allowing for reactive and proactive marketing efforts.
